Medical Directives (Standing Orders)
These are the Medical Directives (Standing Orders) that have been approved by the LPS School Physician for use in Ludlow Public Schools Health Offices. Administration is at the discretion of the school nurse.
Parent/guardians who do not wish their child to receive treatment or medications (including over-the-counter medications) as outlined on the Medical Directives list must inform the school nurse in writing.
All medication (including over the counter medication) must be accompanied by a physician order and written parental permission before medication will be administered to the student. Please review these requirements before bringing medication and a medication order to the schools. The LPS district retains the discretion to reject requests for administration of medication.
