Our Schools

All students attend schools according to their grade level. Currently Early Childhood, Kindergarten and 1st Grade students attend East Street School, students in Grades 2-5 attend Harris Brook Elementary School, Paul R. Baird Middle School educates students Grades 6-8, while students in Grades 9-12 attend Ludlow High School.

Each of our schools and programs align with our district goal to provide a quality education for every student by working in partnership with parents and community to assist each student in reaching his/her full potential.  So, while each school offers a variety of learning environments, there is consistency in our effort to provide the best education possible to all our students.  Please click here to navigate to the Massachusetts DESE school district profile page.

The Ludlow Public Schools practice an integrated holistic approach to education believing that community, integrity and social competencies need to be developed alongside our academic and extracurricular pursuits in order to graduate well rounded individuals.  As we move into the 21st century we must build within our students the skills necessary to achieve in this rapidly changing global environment. We must encourage collaboration and the development of critical thinking skills. Rote memorization is not enough. Einstein stated, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” We must work to inspire creativity and innovation, training our students to apply what they know to novel situations.

Ludlow Public Schools is committed to integrating technology into the curriculum to support and encourage critical thinking skills, including analyzing and synthesizing information and constructing knowledge through collaboration and inquiry-based learning. With wireless access in all our buildings and a continued infusion of technology devices into our buildings, we work to seamlessly bridge the digital divide helping our students develop the skills necessary to succeed in our modern society.
